As a customization specialist and lover of all things crafty, we can't wait to share our knowledge, passion, and favorite crafting tools with you in our classes on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Discover the Exciting World of Crafting at Crafter's Convention
Welcome to the World of the Crafter’s Convention! The Crafter's Convention is the brain child of Brenda Johnson and Desirae Mills who in 2020 planned to bring their first event to life. But, as we are all aware 2020 had different plans for all of us. Instead of letting the dream die, they spent the time making their plan even better and after some retooling the first Crafter's Convention was launched in Temple Texas in 2022.
This weeks event marks the convention's first appearance in Killeen Texas, but certainly not its last. With shows rotating cities, the Crafter's Convention is making a name for its self amongst Crafters and Craft businesses alike.
At the Crafter's Convention, you can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with endless possibilities. With scheduled classes on a range of beginner and intermediate level crafts, the convention offers a little something for everyone. The difference between this event and others like it is simple, the focus of the experience is YOU the crafter learning a new skill or skills around like minded people, shopping the vendors who are actually teaching the classes and participating in the make and take crafts throughout the convention.
From innovative workshops to inspiring demonstrations, this event is a haven for craft enthusiasts. This approach allows people who are interested in learning a new craft, or learning more about it to do so without buying all of the costly supplies needed to get started. With 45 classes being offered on Saturday alone this even is certainly going to be the talk of the city this weekend.
As a passionate crafter, I will be leading classes that will empower you to learn the art of rhinestones and create heartfelt gifts and develop new crafting skills. Join me and the over 40 vendors in exploring the art of personalized gifting, where we can learn, grow, and create memories together.
With the amazing things in the works for this convention and future endeavors I will certainly be getting ready for this Crafter's Convention and the future events of this blossoming establishment.

Unleash Your Creativity with My Favorite Craft Tools
Crafting is not just about imagination; it's also about having the right tools to bring your vision to life. Here are some of my favorite craft tools that can help you complete your projects and take your creativity to new heights:
1. Precision Cutting Tools: A good pair of sharp scissors, precision knives, and cutting mats are essential for creating clean and accurate cuts. These tools will ensure that your crafting projects are precise and professional-looking. Items that I use for precision cutting are my fiskars paper trimmer and my Cricut Xacto knife. 2. High-Quality Adhesives: Whether you're working with paper, fabric, or mixed media, a reliable adhesive is a must-have. Look for adhesives that are versatile, durable, and suitable for your chosen materials. Invest in glue sticks, double-sided tape, and liquid adhesives to meet all your crafting needs.
For projects with rhinestones I use several types of glue based on the type of project. For items I need to dry quickly and aren't flexible I use Bob Smith Industries 30 minute slow cure epoxy. For items that I can wait to dry I use Supertite Fusion Tack or Liquid Fusion and ensure that I give my crafts 10 days to cure. Lastly for items that have a little flex to them like I love Supertite Ninja Superflex, it's amazing on shoes!.

3. Embellishments Galore: Adding that extra touch of sparkle or dimension to your creations can make a world of difference. Stock up on an assortment of embellishments such as rhinestones, buttons, ribbons, and beads. These little details will transform your crafts into unique masterpieces.

These powerful tools can cut intricate designs, customize shapes, and even emboss patterns. They are a game-changer for any crafter looking to add complexity and precision to their projects. My favorite cutting tools are as follows: Cricut Maker for large cutting projects and flexible material usage. XTool D1 Pro, I've started using it more recently and I'm loving all of the possibilities! My Cricut Joy, I love the ease of travel with the Joy and the face that small projects can stay small because of its size!
